It's a beautiful new day, new Moonth, new year! Our current sense is that each season begins with an Equinox or Solstice. Yet some of our ancestors celebrated these new beginnings at the 4 tidal shifts between those points. One of these phase shifts occurs around February 1st when we experience the earliest signs of Spring.

SummerSolstice2021.jpgSummer Salutations! Ma describes a pause in time, creating emptiness in space from which life emerges. The kanji symbol for Ma combines door 門 and sun 日. Together they depict a door through the crevice of which the sunlight peeps in 間. This door opens to Light, which enables growth, sparks creativity, and permits freedom. This is so apropos for the Solstice ~ “Sun Standing Still” On June 20th, the sun moves into Cancer’s domain of the zodiac, opening the door to Summer.

The Goddess Festival 2022 is now in the planning stages! Z and her Busy Bees are buzzing away, organinzing what will be an amazing experience. Join us on the Land in the redwoods of California next September and howl at the moon with women from all over.

It’s the first day of Spring, have ya heard the news? It’s time to step out of our winter shoes, those old winter blues. Let our senses groove with new scents and hues. Hearing songbirds singing, we might feel our hips swinging - Feel our spirits rise, seein’ clear blue skies. Let’s take some nice deep breaths, not those tired sighs.

The new year has seen many changes in the Women’s Spirituality Forum and for me personally. For the first time, the Forum has its own website, a central hub for all events and happenings in the many facets and faces of the group. Here will soon reside a shop for buying the works of Zsuzsanna Budapest, there will be connections to the website for the Goddess Festival, and for Zsuzsanna’s new website – coming soon!
